A. The most enjoyable thing I saw at the museum was a painting by Andy Warhol titled "Lavender Disaster". I have always loved Andy Warhol's usage of color in his work. I enjoyed how his subject(the electric chair) is dark and disturbing yet he uses lavender as the light area's color which is usually associated with softer/lighter occasions. I think the compliment of these things being so different captures the viewer.
B.The most disturbing thing I saw was a traditional African piece. it was a hair comb with a tiki/animal/tribal character holding what looked to be it's child upside down appearing to be preparing to eat the child. Anything eating it's children is disturbing to anyone.
C. The metal processional cross is something that I could make the history and meaning of it and its religion is important to me as well as interesting.
D.The statue of the man's business suit made out of metal with no man in it just a bird cage with a metal bird in it was very interesting to me because it was eerie in a kind of way that a thriller movie is even though it gives off a scary/dangerous vibe it makes you want to know more.
E. I really enjoyed how the Richmond building fit it's art in it very well. the arrangement of the lights in coordination with the size of the room were very inspiring to me

Sept. 10 lecture summary
The September 10th WASH lecture was all about creativity. There is no single form of creativity it is different for everybody; Yes, there are forms that are more commonly used than others but there is no set standard. Everybody's brains work differently for example mine is completely random to other people but to me mine makes perfect sense. While others may not understand how my brain can switch to many very different topics quickly to me they all share something in common. In my thought process everything is linked by a shared detail between one to the next, so in a way my thoughts never start and end it is one continuous thought that can last several hours. So that shows that my creativity is random but in a way all linked while others may use elements they see to formulate an idea for a project. I guess the mainframe of the lecture was a type of "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" thing meaning to me that we can't judge other people's creativity because we are not all made the same and neither is our creativity or it wouldn't be creative.

3-D Nature Project
This picture shows how the cardboard has begun to take on the dimensions of the object |
By putting glue in the folds it helps the cardboard stay sturdier like the object does |
Although the object is flat the twists and shaping make this item more complex to recreate |
This is the object I am re-creating from cardboard |
